Snow Days, and PD Days, and Half Days, OH MY!

It has most definitely been a difficult start to our second semester here at MSCSS. We started the semester off well on Thursday, Jan. 22 only to receive the devastating news that our beloved principal's husband, Mr. Jake Wall, had been killed in a traffic accident. As we mourned the loss of Mr. Wall we were also comforted with the joy of knowing that he is at rest with his Saviour.
The weather then caused school to be cancelled for Friday, Jan. 30 and Monday, Feb. 2, so today was the first day back to school. Tomorrow will be our last day of school this week because Thursday we host parent-teacher interviews, and Friday the staff has a professional development day.
I am looking forward to our first full week of classes next week so that we will be able to get into a steady rhythm in our new classes!

Grade 9 Math Homework:
- pg. 107 #1, 3, 4 (from Thurs)
- pg. 112 Ex. 1 (d, e, f)
- study for review quiz tomorrow!!
       - practice some IXL questions to make sure you are prepared (integers, percents, ratios, fractions)

Grade 10 English Homework:
- Short Story Comic Strip due: Monday, Feb. 9
- Lit. Review #1 due: Friday, Feb. 20

Grade 11 Math Homework:
- pg. 7 #5-8 due: tomorrow

Have a wonderful day with Mrs. Loewen tomorrow and I will see you on Monday!
